Writer Portrait

I am a writer who struggles with using punctuation without stopping places like commas or semicolons and creating many run-on sentences . Throughout the year I have gotten better at using commas and breaking up one large sentence into two or three smaller ones.  Throughout the year I have come to realize that I am a huge procrastinator when it comes to writing and meeting deadlines. I often struggle to manage my time when it comes to writing. Instead of sitting down and writing a couple sentences a day, I leave all the work until the night of the deadline which makes me feel overwhelmed. To counteract this bad trait of mine I have brought myself to buckle down and do the work when it is assigned. I am a writer who does well on using descriptive language and being able to vividly describe something that I am trying to present. This, I feel, is a good trait to have as a writer especially when writing a personal narrative about an event that you were a part of. I feel like although this is a good trait to have it can also be a bad thing if you are not careful. It can make it to where you frequently go off topic when you are writing something that does not need to be described such as a research paper or a literary analysis paper. These are some of the abstract ideas of myself when I am writing.
