As a writer I need to set goals for myself to improve on my techniques and ultimately become a better writer. To do this, one of my goals is to become better at meeting deadlines, this has been a problem this year that I have to improve on. To complete this goal I will have to put a lot of concentration into what I am trying to accomplish and also I will have to work hard on the thing at hand. This goal will take a long time to accomplish but I am certain I can complete it.
Another goal that I have discovered for myself for the year ahead is being able to embed quotations better and to put in text citations on all of the quotations. I have made improvements on this goal during my freshman year but had many problems on assignments where this technique was a necessity. I plan on reaching this goal by learning from my mistakes and finding ways to improve on what I have written and find better ways to incorporate the quotation into the writing. This goal will be a challenging one but I feel like with help from the writing center it will be one that will be easy to complete.
